CUNY ADVANCED SCIENCE RESEARCH CENTER / THE CCNY CENTER FOR DISCOVERY & INNOVATION
Location: New York, NY
Size: 189,000 sf
Status: Complete 2015
Project Delivery: Design-Bid-Build
This collaboration hub for researchers, faculty and students maximizes daylight and views while minimizing solar heat gain through shading strategies.

Led the technical documentation for a 189,000-square-foot advanced research facility supporting multidisciplinary scientific programs, including Photonics, Structural Biology, Biosensing and Remote Sensing, Nanotechnology, Neuroscience, vivarium facilities, advanced imaging, behavioral research, and cryogenic physics laboratories. Directed the architectural documentation of both the interior and exterior from Schematic Design through Design Development, producing three value-engineered iterations while maintaining design intent, program requirements, and project quality. Developed detailed interior finish packages and produced comprehensive design and construction documents in AutoCAD, coordinating closely with the multidisciplinary design team to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
