This transformative project seeks to enhance the connection of the kitchen to the backyard terrace while preserving its historic heritage.
On this project I acted as the key point of contact to the client, construction manager, consultants and project team. The project scope included a 3rd-floor guest room addition, 2nd-floor bedroom expansion, kitchen renovation and expansion, total upgrade of the mechanical, electrical, and communication systems and interior finish updates to the entire home. I oversaw documentation, design presentations, zoning and code research, and compliance. I drafted all permit sets, construction sets, addenda, and sketches. I oversaw management of the construction administration process and acted as representative of the firm at all construction meetings. I attended a Newton building department meeting to discuss a bay window concept, and submitted the Historic Review Application to the City of Newton Planning Department.
